This is one of the best ways to visit the Rakotzbrücke if you plan to travel by train during August/ September.
The station is a (~900 m) short walk from the Weißwasser station.
You can get on a diesel-powered locomotive that takes you to Kromlau.
The train trip was one of the most beautiful journeys I’ve taken so far.
You’ll travel with amazing views of the lake & also get a rare chance to see steam-powered locomotives.
The station offers something for everyone: you are a couple looking to spend time together or even a family with kids.
The attraction offers a small playpen for kids and a cafe with drinks and food. You can purchase the tickets for the train journey either from the deli or from the last compartment of the train.
The trains run on weekends, and it is best to look up the departure times published on the website.
